To enrich our knowledge of Islam and contribute our modest quota to the development of education and welfare of the Muslim Ummah in order to earn the favours of Almighty Allah.

About Us


Forum For Islamic Education & Welfare is a Muslim Professional organization based in Lagos, South-West, Nigeria. The organization anchors a monthly lecture every last Thursday of each Gregorian calendar month at Syrian Club, Ribadu Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. The meeting does not hold in the Ramadan and December.

The Forum In Brief

 

Forum for Islamic education & welfare fondly called “Islamic Forum” was established in 1995 by a committee of 16 Muslims friends working around Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria. Presently, the membership is Forty (45). The Primary aim is to promote Islamic values and ethics among the Ummah in Lagos in particular and in Nigeria as a whole. The Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria registered the Forum in February 1999.

 

Objectives Of The Forum

 
  • To improve member’s knowledge and practice of Islam through enlightenment seminars, workshop and formal Qur’anic sessions.

  • To establish, assist and promote the teachings of Arabic and Islamic Schools and public Schools.

  • To enhance the moral, religious, economic and physical well being of the members, the Ummah and Humanity in general through charitable activities and provision of job opportunities for our teeming population.

  • To champion the rights of Muslims by the establishment of Muslim Research/Intellectual team and also disseminate ideas/information and respond to issues touching and concerning Muslims.

  • To support and collaborate with other Islamic organizations towards the attainment of the objectives of the Forum and the upliftment of the Muslim Ummah.

  • To establish an Islamic oriented Mass Communication Media towards giving adequate attention to the dissemination of Islamic precepts.

  • To establish and or support an Islamic Financial Institution.

  • To establish an Arabic Language Centre.

  • To establish a Trust Fund and National Zakat Fund.

  • To promote and facilitate the administration of Justice among Muslim in Nigeria through the Institution of Shariah Law.

  • To provide for the relief of the underprivileged, the poor, the needy and the physically and financially disabled Muslims

Ethical Responsibilities of Members

 
  • All members’ affair must be guided by the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet (SAW).

  • A member must be transparently honest in all its ramifications.

  • Justice and fairness in all matters.

  • Establish principles of kindness, forgiveness to one another and to the society at large.
